The Office (US) S2 E7 - 'The Client' Mini-Review

First Dates.

Michael experiences his first success with women as he hooks up with Jan Levinson after winning over an important client. As seems apt for his character, Michael immediately becomes obsessed with poor Jan, who it seems regretted the events of the night. I enjoyed getting to explore the boss' love life for once and I hope we get to see more of this side of his character in the future. Meanwhile, the read along of Michael's action movie screenplay was amusing at best as a side plot, although the only real interesting part of this was Jim and Pam being romantic before falling out at the end of the episode. Their tumultuous relationship so far this season has been much more entertaining than last season, which is a definite improvement.

BEST MOMENTS

  • "It will, I sent it in. Letter to the editor"
  • "Thank You" "Kiss-Ass" - love how Michael mutters this under his breath at Dwight haha
  • "If she was sitting across from you on a train and she wasn't moving, you might think she was dead"
  • "Is Gould dead?!"
  • Goldenface!
  • Love how Michael ended up nailing the meeting despite his casual behaviour
  • Michael pulled!
  • Loved the shared glance between Jim and Michael at the end as they contemplated their woman issues
DID YOU KNOW?!*
  • In this episode, Dwight is seen using a NASA blanket, which is one of the items he listed to take with him on an island during The Fire (episode 4, Season 2)
  • When Michael and Jan leave, Micheal says to the staff to "sit tight until I return". Dwight spends the night at the office, following Michael's order exactly
  • The drawings of the "Threat Level Midnight" poster was sketched out by director Greg Daniels
RATING: 8.4/10
