Their 3-1 victory over Colorado Rapids ensured they finished with the most goals in a season with 85, and the most points in MLS history with 72. LAFC have been hailed by many as the best team to emerge since the founding of American soccer, and a crucial factor in their success is the league’s top scorer, Carlos Vela.
